March 2014 highlights in Haywards HeathAs always, great bands appearing in Haywards Heath in March including The Skarlettos and Del's UB40 Tribute at Haywards Heath United Services Club (£1 entrance fee for non-members), and The Ice Cream Bikinis, Murdoch's Crazy Eyes and The Courtelles at Savannah. There is also a Genesis tribute band at Clair Hall.

DIY entertainment comes in the form of the monthly open mic at Savannah, weekly karaoke at Bijoux and a karaoke and disco at the United Services Club.

Seann Walsh is performing a comedy night at Clair Hall 8pm Friday 7 March and the Comedy Club returns on Thursday 27 March at 8pm.

There are a number of walks with Mid Sussex Park Rangers including one from the Fox and Hounds – they've recently introduced parking meters to deter ramblers who park but don't stop for a drink, but if you stay for a drink the parking fee will be waived. There is also an 18mile walk with Sussex Long Distance Walkers from Cuckfield for those interested in serious hiking.

Cuckfield Museum re-opened in February with a World War One display and this month The Wings Museum in Balcombe re-opens. It is a World War Two Remembrance Museum formerly based at Redhill Aerodrome.

In restaurant news, Rice & Spice has changed hands, Blue India has been replaced with Spanish tapas bar La Campana and River Thai is now the Lemongrass Thai restaurant.

In addition to the usual monthly business networking groups meeting, Haywards Heath & District Business Association are holding their annual conference as well as having a Planning For Profit business seminar. And ten Young Enterprise companies will be selling their wares and ideas in The Orchards.
